The one-day symposium ‘The Children’s Book as Material Object’ will be held at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge on 10th May, 2017. The symposium will explore the physical forms that children’s books can take, and asks what we can learn from studying the materiality of the children’s book. Proposals for papers and panels are open until 1st February, 2017.

The event is organised by the Lucy Cavendish Children’s Literature Society, in association with the Cambridge Centre for Material Texts and the Cambridge-Homerton Research and Teaching Centre for Children’s Literature.
